Overview

Hello, I am Sam Hapke. This is my portfolio for CIS 515. I am an avid gamer, and enjoy most everything, from rougelites to cozy games, RPGs and survival crafters. I am in my final semester of school here at DMACC, learning to program. I returned to school after several years working for the Postal Service. I want a career where I can have something interesting to focus on, a problem that can be solved, something that requires me to think.

This webpage will serve as a host for multiple projects, including my current semester project; a database for the Cosmere RPG enemies. The Cosmere RPG is based on the Brandon Sanderson books, The Stormlight Archives, and the Mistborn series. Both are part of the wider Cosmere, as well as many others from Sanderson. The RPG is based on an underlying, newly developed, Plotweaver system. While the Sanderson books are protected The Plotweaver system has an OGL, similar to D&D. Because of this, The information available in this project will focus on the stat blocks and the rules, and will only make minimal reference to the stories contained within the Works of Sanderson. I am however a big fan of Sanderson's Cosmere, and encourage you all to read them as well!
